Fats Domino and Ducks in St. Thomas! (Day 5 on Big World Assignment)

Day 5 and the cruise is almost to its end with the last stop in St. Thomas. This was an exciting day!

I have a new animal friend named Fats Domino! Fats is a baby pitbull mix, and mom met him outside a cafe in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. His owners said he was only 3 months old and loved getting attention. He looks sort of like a domino with the white and black patches! The original Fats Domino was a singer born in New Orleans, who is known for singing about some kind of "thrill on Blueberry Hill."

I want to comment that I don't think pitbulls are bad doggies, but they just get a bad reputation, when they have bad owners. There was a recent story of a football player who was a very bad owner to some pitbull doggies. This story made me sad. I like pitbulls, and they are my friends.

Mom also saw some friendly ducks at Sapphire Beach in St. Thomas. Mom fed them bread from the ship and they were SO happy. They have pretty colored bills.

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks! JB's Mom's Big World is new too....check it out!

Fats Domino is a very pretty doggie! And those duckies look like a lot of fun, too.

I think they should have taken you with them on the cruise, JB! You and Fats could have become great friends!

It looks like your mom and dad had lots of fun. (well, except for mom's icky sicky day) It looks so sunny and warm. I agree about the pitbulls. Animals are angels sent to Earth and it's bad people that cause problems.
Thanks to your mom for sharing her vacation pictures. Have a Happy Day!

Wow, lots of birdy photos. Only one dog photo? Where's the eskie? That pit bull mix dog sure looks big for 3 months old. I was a lot smaller than that. He is pretty though.

Fats Domino is a furry attractive guy (as far as woofies are concerned). I like his blue harness an' lead.

Those ducks look yummy, too ... I wonder if the different colored bills are different flavors?!?

Hey there JB!
Sorry it took so long to get back at ya.... our humans are so busy on weekdays and we only get the weekend to catch up on everyone's bloggies.. but anyways...
We SO agree with you about pitbulls! Poor doggies, they only have a bad reputation because of their stupid humans... it's really sad..
And about the question you left on your last comment on our blog asking if they still made doggie beef jerky, the answer would be "we think so". We've seen something like that at the pet store, which smells REALLY good, but mommy doesn't buy it because we like chewing stuff on the couch, and she says she wouldn't like it if the smell went all over the couch. Why? We don't really know... why wouldn't she want a great-smelling sofa?
Wags and licks,

Those ducks are prettier than the ones in the lake near our home. It is good that the dog likes attention and is friendly :)

JB I think the same, pitbulls aren't that bad dogs. Any type of a pet mistreated can become a bad pet, and it is not their fault. It happens with us humans too, when we are mistreated, things can go wrong in life. Nice photos of the dog, and like the photos of the ducks, thanks for sharing. Anna :)
