Mardi Gras Dog Parade 2008

Here is an exciting event that happened last weekend in McKinney Texas, right near my house! Mom got carried away taking so many photos, I think. What.....does she like dogs more than she likes cats, or something??

Mom went to the Mardi Gras Dog Parade in McKinney, Texas. This year was the 6th year the event was held, and it was called Krewe of Barkus - Rock & Roll Paw of Fame.

Mom saw hundreds of dogs, from a baby teacup chihuahua to a huge great dane! I hope you enjoy my doggie friends in all their glory!

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks! JB's Mom's Big World is new too....check it out!

Mardi Gras and dogs, what could be better? (with apologies, of course, to clever feline blogsters). I miss Mardi Gras: folks in New England are way to reserved for such pagentry. Too bad.

Wow JB! Those photos are awesome! I think your Mom might like dogs though. Anyhow, the parade looks so neat... I wish we had an animal parade like that over here. It looks like fun to see everydog dressed up in their fancy costumes. What fun! However, I don't think there were any eskies in the parade pictures. Better luck next year. Thank your Mom for sharing her photos with us!

JB, JB!! My mom took some pictures today and thought about you. What I mean is she took some pictures of our animal friends and plans to show the pictures to you, on our bloggy... they are pictures from around the world, but they are of around the world animals.... but it will take her some time to post them. Stay tuned until next week......

Hmmm, it doesn't look like my new comment posted.. so I will try again.

I made a typo before. I meant the pictures are NOT from around the world, but they are of animals from other countries.

Hi JB,

what anice parade dat looks like. Tank you fur purrin' fur Delilah. She haz a message fur evfurry cat:
Thank you so much for visiting while I was so very ill. Mommy thinks I almost died Friday night, so I am rebounding quickly. Mommy now believes I might be allergic to a wasp sting. It was nice to hear that all the kitties of the blogosphere were purring & praying. It helped me to have heart, and my mommy was so appreciative for all of the love.
We hope you will join us for Dr Tweety's Valentine's cruise. More details will be posted later.

Many blessings,
Delilah

Hello JB
I have not visited for a few days, I will get mistress to add you to her bloglines.

She took a fine kitty picture the other day and I thought about you so we will post it up in the next couple of day.

Jelly Belly, there were 5 eskies in the show this afternoon. I think 3 were absent. They did the Best of Breed and other things for Eskies this afternoon. But, the show on TV tonight will only show the winning Eskie who competes with other nonsporting dogs for "Best" nonsporting dog. Usually the poodle wins in this, not the eskie. Hence I do not always appreciate the poodle since they beat us eskies.
