There were black birdies everywhere! Mom said it looked like thousands of them!
Reminds me of a nursery rhyme.......
Sing a Song of Sixpence (AKA, Four and Twenty Blackbirds Baked in a Pie)
Sing a song of sixpence a pocket full of rye,
Four and twenty blackbirds baked in a pie.
When the pie was opened the birds began to sing,
Oh wasn't that a dainty dish to set before the king?
The king was in his counting house counting out his money,
The queen was in the parlour eating bread and honey,
The maid was in the garden hanging out the clothes,
When down came a blackbird and pecked off her nose!
These birdies must have been having a birdie conference. I like birdies a lot and they are my friends, but this might be too many birdies for me all at one time.....I would not want to get my nose pecked off like in the nursery rhyme!
Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

My mummy says "The Birds" was her favorite movie...lol... JB, I hope you are right about Pepper meeting your sister and playing at the bridge. I bet he will be just fine now. He know longer suffers. I didn't get to really know Pepper, but read about him on Jan's blog.

My mommy loves that Birds movie . . . especially the bit with the crows on the playground. I love watching birdies, but I think that many at once might scare me . . . just a bit.
EGADS! Wow... What a sight that would have been. I definitely would want to be wearing a hat as that swarm moved over the area... icky... LOL
Wow, it's about time your Mom was back to help you blog!
Sorry, I have not posted pics of Casper's Barkday party yet. But, Copper posted some photos already... hee hee. And Casper too! We had TONS of fun! Fortunately the police did not whisk Casper away when he was off leash for a little bit.
The Birds? wow indeed a spectacular movie;)
Momma loves the movie The Birds! And wowie, that's a LOTTA blackbirdies in yur pickshures -- just think how many pies they'd make, hehe!

Yes, I think you are right, and the birdies are having a conference.
That is scary. Birds used to peck me on my behind when I was younger, I don't like them so much!
Wow, I agree with Joe: that is SCARY! (Ari, on the other hand, has been completely distracted by the word 'pie'. Go figure.)
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's a lot of birdies! Wouldn't it be fun to run onto that bunch ,heehee

Holy moly!! That does kinda look like "The Birds". Really scary but neat at the same time. :)
JB that must have been some one big conference, lol, going on. It is interesting to see that many in the city, we usually see them in the corn fields, like Canada goose, crows or starlings. This is really cool shot. I will ask my hubby one day to go to the field and scare all of them so I can shoot some in flying action, lol. Thanks for sharing, these are great. Anna :)
Our maid got scared! She saw that movie loooooong ago but still remembers it vividly!
