My Friend, Hana the Eskie

This is my friend, Hana. Hana is an American Eskimo doggie, or Eskie for short. She lives in California. When I first met Hana on her blog, I don't think she liked me much, because I am a cat.....or at least did not want to admit it!
American Eskimos originated in Germany and are actually a member of the Spitz family. Originally called the German Spitz, the name was changed because of anti-German prejudice during WWI, to the current name, American Eskimo Dog. Eskies were recognized as a breed by the AKC in 1994.

Hana just had her barkday, and is 8 years old. Her mom made her delicious pupcakes for her barkday.

You will find it very impressing that Hana can drive a red sportscar. I have never met a dog OR cat that could drive a car!

Hana has been wanting me and my mom to post a picture of an Eskie, but so far we have not met one to photograph for my Big World. So, I told my mom that we should post a picture of Hana, because she must be the most beautiful Eskie around and would be a great example of this doggie breed! AND, Hana is my friend!

Please go visit Hana and say hello! She is one cool floofy doggie!

P.S. She does not like poodles much.....but I think she is warming up to cats!

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

Hi JB! Wow, you're showcasing ME on your bloggy today! What an honor it is! I am so excited to see this!!!! When daddy gets home, I will have to show him this. Maybe this will make me famous again. I tend to agree with you that I am warming up to cats, but it depends on the cat. You're a cool cat with a cool blog, and I like that!

Hopefully Mom will help me post some animal photos this weekend!

p.s. I want everyone to know that I am a good driver. See how focused I am at driving the red sports car. I'm not looking at my Mom, the picture taker, coz I'm concentrating on my driving.

Hi. My name is Copper and I found you by reading Hana's blog. I live in Augusta, Ga but I have cat friends out in Fort Worth Texas. You can read about them on my blog. They belong to a boy that lived at this house a while ago. I don't go see them often but if I did, I could go see you, you live so close to them! I am a long haired dachshund and am black and tan, but you can read about me on my blog. Nice to meet you. I like cats.

JB,
You have great taste in friends, and we admire your willigness to engage in interspecies friendships. Then again, with a snazzy sports car like that, how could you possible say no?

PS- Love the duck!!

Wow what a great post for Eskies! I love hana too, she's my friend too! Yay for friends!

Boy you did a good job on your eskie homework. I'm glad you know all about what we really are.

As far as kitties go... I try to eat other doggies, but i only met one kitty. I was really nice to her. Its my niece, Tesla, who also has a blog on here!

She was really mean to me though... so i haven't had much experience with cats. She and i have never met after that first time.

but we can be friends as long as you promise not to swat my face like tesla did.

Nice blog JB! We don't see many cats around here so I don't think they want to be around us, we're all terriers and we chase everything. Most ones I see just swat my face, my grandma Miz Mary has one and he's not afraid of us!
It's good that your mom takes pics for you to see the great big world.

Nice pictures of Hana. We don't like poodles either (oh wait, that's puddles!). We aren't too fond of cats that step on our property, but as long as you stay on your blog, we are ok with cats.
Hope you had a happy Valentine's day.
