Whoo Are You, Whoo Whoo, Whoo Whoo?

Well today I will show you my Owl animal friend. He lives at the Ft Worth Zoo, in the Texas Wild! exhibit area. Mom could not remember what kind of owl he was, so I apologize, for the inaccuracies of my post. Usually I am much smarter than this!

Owls are nocturnal and have very good eyesight expecially at night, and use their sharp claws or talons for catching their prey, like mousies. They can fly totally silently too. Owls can move their head around either way up to 270 degrees to see.....Wow, even I can't do that!

I like owls. They are my friends. And they are birdies, which makes me like them even more! I just hope they don't like to catch "Jelly Beans" with those talons!

We had an owl outside our house last summer for a long time and every night it would say "Whoo Whoo" and keep mom and daddy Len awake.

My post is shorter today than usual, because my mom is telling me that she is getting ready to leave me again and does not have time to blog! I will have to write about that in my Small World.......Tears, JB

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

JB, wow this is one cool owl. I like them too, never seen them in the wild, just zoo. It will be really cool to see them hunting, apparently they are very quiet and smooth. Thanks for sharing, Anna :)

JB, did you say your Mom and Daddy Len are coming to CA? If they are going to the same place your Mom went to the other month, then maybe they will want to join in on an eskie fest! We are going to celebrate Casper D Dog's 6th Barkday on Sunday about 30-ish miles from where your Mom was last time!! Let me know if your Mom and Daddy Len want to join us. There will be 6 eskies and 1 shitzu there.

J.B., do you know what species that owl is? I'm not all that familiar with southern owls, though last year I did meet an elf owl in Phoenix. He was no bigger than a robin, but very lovely and wise all the same!

Sorry to hear your parents will be so busy over the weekend. But maybe there will be future barkday parties! I hope your babysitter will let you talk with your Mom and Daddy Len on the phone. I know you will miss them greatly, and vice versa.

Owls are very pretty birdies! We don't get to see them much at my house since they just come out at night, but sometimes we can hear them!
