Salvatore's Parrot Show

Mom saw these parrots on the beach boardwalk at Scheveningen near The Hague, which is the seat of government for Holland. They were employees in Salvatore's Parrot Show.

People had to pay Salvatore to take pictures with the parrots. The parrots did tricks like walk a tightrope. Here the parrots were all sitting on a human baby's stroller. I sure hope these parrots are not the pecking kind for the sake of the baby!

Mom could not take very good pictures of these birds because she did not want to have to pay. By this time in on her Big World Assignment, she did not have many Euros left! This green parrot was making sure that everyone paid, and he showed mom where she could put her money!

I like these parrots! They have such beautiful colors. Maybe I could ask mom to bring one home to live with me at our house?

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

Hi JB
I knew you would not forgetted me, next week. I sure do like those parrots..Did you hear the story about the parrot that got lost and he told a vet his address and they got him back to his owner...It was a good story. The owners had taught the parrot if he ever got lost to give his address.
We got storms last night, but they were not bad ones. Western Kansas got tornados. We are set up to get strong storms all the way through Tuesday. I live just southwest of Wichita right in tornado alley. Kinda scary!!!
I luv you JB

Yeah, I agree. I hope those parrots don't peck, but I also hope they don't poop on the baby!

Your reporting Mom really did well on her assignment. Who knew Holland had all these animals?

I know you like birds, JB. Have you heard this tale of two cockies? It's a wonderful story!
http://www.juliusbergh.com/cocky/ And a book was published!

The weather here is supposed to be much cooler this Memorial Day weekend, so I'm not sure about my parents taking me to Santa Cruz. What is in Capitola? I will have my Mom look it up on a map!

I was going to tell you I ran into a tiny frog last night and I was gonna ask him if he wanted to be your friend and before I could whisper in his ear, he disappeared under the steps and never came back out...I wonder if he has a house under there....I will ask him next time I see him.

Very colourful parrots! MB went to a home that had a parrot as a pet and she said it took the whole room over, and was very unhealthy. Feathers and poo everywhere ha ha! Lovely birdies though.

Hey JB
The pinky and grey parrot is a Galah, they are from Australia. The green parrot with the red beak looks alot like the King Parrots we have here in the Blue Mts. The one that is totally green is female and the males have a lovely red chest.
Thanks for sharing the lovely pics.

Hugs and tail wags

I've got a quick question for you! Chef's cat sisters would like to send you a package for International Goody Exchange...would you like to be paired up with them? They live in Canada, I just wanted to see what your thoughts were with the shipping and all!

Slurp!
