Where Do These Birdie Friends Live?

I think this is a fun story about some new Dove birdie friends in Holland. I love birdies, and these birdies live in an interesting place with a great view.

Can you tell from these first two pictures where they live?

Did you figure it out yet?

Do you see the thatched roof? Do you see the strange notched wheel? Do you see the old wood beams?

Where do my new friends live?

Any ideas?

In a windmill! My mom's cousins live in this windmill in Holland, and my mom went up to the top 4th floor in the turret to meet my new birdie friends!

I think I would like to visit these birdies. Mom said the windmill is very small inside, but I am sure it is just the right size for a small Jelly Bean!

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

That would be so cool to live in a windmill....Yes catnip pillows would be considered stuffies.

Nice place. In Lithuania there was a restaurant in one windmill. Interesting that the persons live inside! Here in Italy the persons live in "Norman Towers".

PS. Tell your mommy that our mommy says: "I don't know much about Bob Marley and Amsterdam, but it makes sense! LOL"
We wonder what she means by that...

Hi Jelly Bean,
we have Dove's in our back yard, but they are not that big. The humans in my house like to look at the birds, so G-Mom has birdfeeders and hummingbird feeders. I try to chase them and catch them. Its fun.

Oh, I was going to say it was a barn, but then after I saw the wheel, I was gonna say a windmill! So, do I win anything?

That is neat to live in a windmill. What does the inside of their house look like? Are there other windows besides the few that we see in the photo? Does the windmill actually work and make energy? I bet it would be fun doing zoomies up and down the stairway.

How fabulous, JB! When I was down in Dominica, I saw a windmill there, too: it was built by a Dutch traveller in the 19th century, but there weren't any doves there. That's too bad, because they are one of our favorite birds: Ari's feline housemates LOVE to watch them at the feeder.

What a nice windmill, but Jelly Bean, there wouldn't be any room for Mom and Dad, so who would feed you and post your blog?????

hi JB, that's interesting that those people live inside of the windmill. it seems just right for some birds, and maybe you could live there, but it seems very small for people.
