Bamboo For Dinner?

First of all I want to say that my mom has been super busy, so I have not been able to tell many stories about my animal friends lately. This makes me very sad.......

My daddy Len saw this Panda Bear a while back at the San Diego Zoo. I sure do like my new friend, the Panda Bear. Maybe he could come over and snuggle with me since my mom is too busy for me!

Panda Bears are the rarest of the bear family and they continue to disappear. They are found in the wild in reserves in China, and their natural habitat is getting much smaller from humans encroaching on their space. Their number is only around 700 in the wild and about 200 in zoos. They just love to eat bamboo as you can see from this picture.

I like my new friend, but bamboo is not for me. I much prefer freshly grilled salmon lightly seasoned for dinner!

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

Yes, bamboo does seem a little odd to eat, doesn't it? Maybe it would be ok to use for a toothpick, that's the only time we would put wood in out mouths...
Cute photo!

My Mom remembers the first time she went to the San Diego Zoo. She was little. There was a petition to sign at the zoo. It was a petition to get a Panda Bear at the Zoo! And then years later, she went to the SD Zoo again, and there was a panda bear. She likes to think that she had a hand in it. :-)

Although the panda is very cute we don't go much for his taste in food lol. We'd much prefer the grilled salmon as well...actually any salmon would be good.

Hugs & tail wags,
Noah xx

JB, JB, I DO have something to blog about, but my Mom has been way too busy lately to be my secretary. I think it might have to wait until next weekend! Sigh! The woes of not having opposable thumbs.

Hi JB! Lovely picture! I adore pandas, and still remember the first time I saw them in Washington DC, 1984!
Thanks for your comment on Blogtrotter, still strolling in the streets of Santiago de Compostela, now racing the famous Paris-Dakar… Enjoy and have a nice week!

Hiya JB!
Our humans are very busy too, so we understand.
Panda Bears are so cute, but it's very sad how their population is decreasing. Something must be done!
Wags and licks,

Grilled salmon is one of Ari's favorite dinners, too! Perhaps some day the two of you can dine together.

We really love the San Diego Zoo: they do such a wonderful job providing natural enclosures for their animals. Did your dad tell you about all of the great cats there, too? They are BEAUTIFUL!

I got frozen 7-up treats last night and just lounged with mum. She said we would do something special this weekend since she only has to work 1/2 day tomorrow and is off on Friday. My neighbor next door is moving and the place next door is not nice at all, really old single wide trailer, but he was never home and it was great. But, he got kicked out for not paying and the guy who owns it is going to put it up for sale or rent it out...I am freakn cuz who knows what will move in..out in the country and so close, mum says you have to get along. She wishes she could buy the lot real cheap...
I bet your mum has alot to do now that you are moving too...Can't wait to read about the bulls.

Our cats are maybe more vegetarians. They eat sometimes herbs. But they are afraid about bamboo we have near the house even if there is a very nice shadow. Why? Because there come snakes too...
