Should I Kiss My New Friend?

My mom has been working in the yard a lot AGAIN, just like at our old house. I don't know why humans have to work in the yard so much. But in this case, maybe it was to unearth another new friend for me! Can you tell who this is?

It is my new friend, the Toad! He was hiding down in the soil in our yard. Frogs and toads defend themselves by camouflaging themselves, and my new friend sure did a good job of that!

My new friend, the Toad, almost got hurt from our shovel, because he was camouflaging himself so well. I asked my mom if I could kiss him, but my mom said that she has kissed a lot of frogs in her life and she does not recommend it.

My mom did not want to touch him, so she told my daddy to pick him up and put him somewhere more safe. I like my new friends little paws! Does he really only have 3 toes on each paw?

My daddy put my friend, the Toad, down right by his Toadstool. That's right, my friend has his own stool, just like me!

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

Awe, JB, I love that photo of you. A model for sure and so classy. I like your toad friend. My mum has a toad house for toads to go inside. Its a big mushroom looking toad house. If you want me to send it to you I will. The toads around here don't go in it anywaz, maybe the ones in TX will.

Wow, I almost did not see your new friend in the first photo! He sure is a good camouflager, but he really needs to be careful because next time he might get whacked with the shovel!

My parents are back from their cruise. The internet access on the ship was outrageously expensive so they were on internet withdrawal for a week! I had no contact with them. (tears) But, they are back and I am back at home and at peace again.

Cute post :-) I'm glad the toad didn't get hurt and that JB found a new friend....with his own stool.

Ooooooooo JB!!!! That toad looks delicious! Did you at least get to taste a toe? Those look like they could have been a bit of fun to nibble on...potentially!

So, you have your own stool, huh? That's awesome. When do you get your own house? Hehehehe!

Hi-Woo JB,

Don't kiss a toad, you can get warts or that is what we hear!

My mom laughed when she read the part about your mom's experience with kissing frogs.. and said she's also kissed some in her life. I wonder why our moms like frogs so much.. aren't dogs and cats better choices??

hi JB, that toad is very good at blending into his background. we're glad that he got rescued and put by his stool. our mom says that kissing toads will make you have warts. we don't know why she doesn't have any warts though. hee hee

You can kiss, but not lick, your new friend. Ditto for the 'shroom. Otherwise, you're going to be one trippy cat!

Mistress says they are very nice to touch because they are so cool. She has carried frogs and toads out of the house and put them carefully in the pond and stuffs like that.

She tells me they are nice but I don't remember seeing any. Don't cats and toads have sofas?
