Fly Away.....

My mom has been so busy, that she wishes she could just fly away like a Monarch Butterfly, with no cares or responsibilities in the world. Monarch Butterflies fly to and from Mexico each year and they must go right through our back yard!

We saw lots of Monarch Butterflies, and they are so beautiful. They fly down from the north in October, and can fly up to 550 miles within 3 days!

Here is a map which shows this year's migration.

It was a beautiful sight to see so many Monarch Butterflies in our yard. I hope my mom does not get any ideas and fly away with them!

(Come see my new brother in my Small World Blog!)

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

How wonderful to be on the flight path! How many at any one time did you see in your yard? That would be so cool!

My Mom loves Monarch butterflies. But these days, it seems there are a lot fewer than years past. I told my Mom I want to be a monarch butterfly this year for Howl-a-ween, but she says I am going to be Mickey Mouse (again).

Oh, I forgot to mention that BLU and Comet's Girl posted some fabulous pics from her safari. You should take a look!

We love the Monarchs. Mom lived in San Antonio when she went to high school, and their house had tons of pecan trees. It was on about 1 1/2 acres. The Monarchs simply covered the trees. It was gorgeous. We haven't seen any here in Denton though :(

Hi JB
Sorry it has taken me so long to visit your blog. Our mum is extremely busy too. There is no time for blogging. Mum has some very important life stuff to sort out. We'll always be thinking of you though.
Love from Hammer
