Little Robin Redbreasts

Little Robin Red Breasts, all in a row. All in a row, standing by our pool, that is! They have been hanging out every day and I have been watching them every day.

Oooh, my daddy gets mad when they hang out by our pool. Do you know why?

It's because there is a whole lotta pooping going on, and he has to clean it up! These American Robins migrate from Canada down to Texas for the winter. Do you think they fly all that way to drink from our pool?

These friends remind me of a nursery rhyme......

Little Robin Redbreast sat upon a tree,
Up climbed pussycat and down went he,
Down came pussycat, away Robin ran.
Says little Robin Redbreast, "Catch me if you can."

Little Robin Redbreast flew upon a wall,
Pussycat jumped after him, and almost had a fall.
Little Robin chirped and sang and what did pussy say?
Pussycat said, "Mew," and Robin flew away.

Now if I could only go outside to meet my new Robin friends face to face......

Before you go, please sign my GUESTBOOK, and stop by my SMALL WORLD too, thanks!

There's no question. Your pool is big noos in Canada and word is spreading that its a great place to do poopies. By the way, your robins are different to ours, more browny than red.

Those birdies definitely know a great place to hang out. They are cute little birdies, but their poops definitely are not cute. They need to learn to use a litter box.

Oooh! So many robin red breasts! We are very lucky if we see one a year! Mitzi caught it and brought it in the house this year and it really upset M&M lots! Ours look a bit different to yours though. They are brown with a red breast.

Maybe you should tell your worried Dad that if he sends Bear out, maybe Bear can scare the birds away.

My Mom had that problem with bird poop. We had a bird feeder. Keyword is HAD.

Mom always heard that when you see a Robil Red-brest, it ie the first sign of Spring. But in Texas, we see them all year long and it surly is not Spring when it is 30 degrees and sleeting!

JB, that pool is an awesome place for the robins to hang out, but we know our Daddy would be really ticked off about having to clean the poopies too! We can't believe how many there are! Wow!

we think those are the robins that spend their summers in our back yard! they won't play with us either, but we like them anyway. they're nice little birds, but full of poop. sorry.

woofs.

JB, please do not go out there so close to the pool, you may get your furs wet and I know how you hate to get your furs wet. I could send Sharkie to Texas and he can patrol the pool area. He is a bird killer ya know. I don't think he would kill your friends, but maybe just scare them a lil.

We always have lots of Robins in our yard, too! Sometimes they come by our birdfeeders on the front porch, and then I get to have a good close look at them.

Those robins sure look pretty all lined up, but I know what a mess that would be! Yuck! That nursery rhyme brings back memories for Mommy.

Oh no, birdie poo in the pool is not good at all. We bet those are some of our robins too. They'll probably start heading back to Iowa in March sometime.

I imagine the dad cleaning that pool every day and the birds sitting nearby and laugh... :-))) I think, this is the reason that they come to your pool.

*drools* mmmmm like little appetizers all lined up on a plate. mmmmm

PS my daddy gets mad cause the birdies all line up the deck rail for their turn at our feeders. He feels like he built a giant bird poop box not a deck.

So THAT'S where our robins go each winter--it's to your house, JB! Take good care of them and tell them to hurry back to Maine (but not too soon. It's C-O-L-D here!).

They look so cute they're almost worth the poop! Though I must admit I don't envy your poor Dad having to clear up after them.

I'm going to have to explain about Pinky's visitor! Unfortunately s/he isn't a permanent resident or staying guest:(

Gosh American robins sure are different to English robins. Our ones hate other robin boys. and look smaller too.
