JB's mom here. Ok, is there no limit as to what I will do to find JB more animal friends?? JB has really pushed me to the limit this time!
JB told me my next Big World Assignment would be in Costa Rica and I had to stay in the jungle at the Pachira Lodge in Tortuguero in a hut on stilts to find her more animal friends!
Not just the jungle, but the RAINFOREST!. That's right....with lots and LOTS of rain!So, JB....is it perfectly ok for me to get my hair wet, when you will do everything possible not to get your furs wet??
Ok, so maybe the lush foliage is quite pretty and beautiful, I have to admit, but what is lurking deep in this rainforest?
I decided to consult my Costa Rica Wildlife Guide.
Eeek, just nearby was a Slender Anole Lizard! These are common in the Costa Rica rainforest, and it slithered quickly away behind my hut. I wondered how many of his friends would be slithering around in my room that night?
The room was simple, with a pretty stained glass light, but not sure if you can see......there is no glass in those windows, just old screens! Yes, JB made me sleep in an open air room!!

Your mum is very brave! I cannot believe she went to all that trouble to find you more friends.
Wouldn't it have been fun to hide out in that forest? You would have had to bring an umbrella or something so your furs did not get wet. Your mum looks FABULOUS!

Wow, that is surely a BIG world assignment! I'm not sure about those window screens... yikes! That is scary.
Life in the rain forest looks very buggy to me. I'm glad it was a big grasshopper and not a spider. Maybe you should invite the anoles in to keep the bugs away.
JB I am sure not just rain, but the humidity too. I don't know how you do it. I was in the imitated version of the rainforest in Singapore bird zoo, and all I wanted to be out. That grasshopper is probably drinking lots of water, lol, that is one good size. Hope all is well otherwise, than the rainforest, lol. Anna :)

Oh boy, it looks so lovely there. BUT, Mama do NOT like gwasshoppers!!! We like to try & catch them, hehehehe! Hope you have fun on your trip.

JB's mom... (we'd love to see your photo!) Our mom can't deal with any bugs, insects...grrrr... that's reason why she prefered to live in Canada over Japan. lol (she's originally from Tokyo where she's seen enough bugs.)
