Barnyard Animal Friends Have Rights Too!

Mom found me some new Barnyard Friends recently, near where we live, and I got really sad.

What kind of life is this?  They were up for sale and locked in these tiny cages.

 

Mom met them on Big World Assignment at Third Monday Trade Days in McKinney, TX.

Why do humans do this to my animal friends?  These animals have rights too, don't they?

Can someone help me rescue all my new Barnyard Friends?

Analise, Tequila, and CATfish?

This is my new Costa Rican Horse friend, "Analise".

My mom got to ride Analise to the foothills of the Arenal Volcano in Costa Rica.

 

Mom actually found me a whole herd of new Horse friends on this Big World Assignment!

 

And she also found me "Tequila"!   One might say that Tequila is not for Cats, but this Tequila is of the Canine variety, so it is ok.  Tequila, as she was named, was one of the guides on the horseback ride.

 

This is where mom parked Analise.  Did you know horses had their own Parking Lot? 

From here, mom took a steep hike down into a ravine....

 

....where there was a beautiful 70 meter waterfall!

 

Mom even swam into the natural pool to ask this School of Fish if they would be my friends, and they all said "yes"!   

Do you suppose they are CATfish?

 

Well, that does it for mom's Big World Assignment in Costa Rica, and she left the Volcano behind.  I am so happy to have so many new animal friends!  

I am not sure where I will send my Big World Reporter to next, so you will just have to come back and see!

Suspended in the Jungle, Looking for Animal Friends for JB

Mom told me that I give her some scary Big World Assignments sometimes......like walking a suspension bridge in Costa Rica (last July) to find me more animal friends!

Mom is afraid of heights and this made her stomach very queasy!

But then so did some of my new animal friends!

 

This is my new Locust friend.  I would just LOVE to play with him.

 

An Emerald Basilisk!

 

And a Green Iguana that looks brown.  Look at his rough skin!  I could file my nails really well on that skin!

Lizards were everywhere, like this Central American Whiptail, and they all wanted to be my friends too!

 

Some of my new friends tried to be incognito, like this Jungle Frog.

 

These new friends were having a big meeting in a convention hall!  Mom did not want to ask them all to come out.  I wonder why?

 

And some just kept about their work, like this Leaf Cutting Ant.  Wow, he is strong!

JB:  I like all my new friends and I would like to invite them all over to play at my house!

Mom:  JB, that is not a good idea, I am afraid.
